Rescue Memory Lawn Cemetery Alliance
Class Action Lawsuit
Attorney Tandy Hunt filed a law suit on behalf of the Rescue Memory Lawn Cemetery Alliance today, Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
This is exciting and reassuring for all of us who have been working so hard to "right the wrongs" at Memory Lawn Cemetery.
The law suit itself will not be published on the website, but it has been emailed to all current Alliance members as of today.
Please remember that this is not a situation where we have a court appointed attorney. The attorneys that have taken the case for us are TOP-NOTCH, high-dollar. They believe in this moral, ethical issue and have taken on this cause - with us. As such, they are paying their staffs for the time they spend on our case - not to mention their own personal time. The courts will not waive their fees - nor any of the filing fees associated with this case.
We have raised almost $6000.00 to date which is incredible! But, we must reach our goal of $10,000.00 to cover all of the fees associated with the lawsuit. Any amount you can donate is appreciated! (see details on the Welcome and Contact Us pages)
We look forward to your continued support!

Good News ! Today's hearing went pretty good. The judge did award a temporary injunction. Drake does not have to stay off the cemetery property - however, the judge did tell him that he can do nothing but keep the perpetual parts of the cemetery maintained and WATERED. Drake is to do this on a temporary basis until we have the next full-day court hearing - January 22, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
